Warisan Merdeka: Malaysia's New Upcoming Skycrapper?

We already knew that on 15th Oct, budget 2011 was presented by our PM at Dewan Rakyat. If I'm not mistaken, next year's budget is much higher than the previous one. As usual, some people are satisfied with the announcement made, some object it.

But then, I was shocked that one of the announcements made was to build a new tower, skycrapper named Warisan Merdeka n it is estimated to cost around RM5 billion. Wow, that's really a huge allocation just to build another skycrapper! If the project runs smoothly, we shall see three towers alligned together in a 'line'.. Malaysia now seems to beat UAE in term of skycrapper's record n can claim the world record for the only nation in the world that possesses three tall towers in a time. Just take a look at this news taken from thestar's web n evaluate it by yourself.

Warisan Merdeka: Big projects are the way to go, says Dr M

KUALA LUMPUR: Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said Monday that the proposed RM5bil-Warisan Merdeka Tower would be good for the country, as it would create economic opportunities.

Big projects were the way to go, he said in response to critics querying the need for such an expensive development after Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced the project recently.

The Warisan Merdeka landmark, located within the enclave of Merdeka Stadium and Stadium Negara, is set to change the city skyline.

Construction of the 100-storey skyscraper, which is part of the mega project, will start next year and is expected to be completed in 2015.

Najib had said the two stadiums would be retained as national heritage buildings.

i hv been thinking over n over again to buy a new mp3 player to replace my sony video walkman; i gave it to my brother.

n the solution is - buy an iPod Shuffle.

why do i choose iPod instead of Sony's?

1) i wanna 2 experience the power of music offered by iPod, no.1 leading brand in music player

2) its VoiceOver.

Press the new VoiceOver button and iPod shuffle speaks the song title, playlist or artist name, or battery status in one of 25 languages. {taken from iPod's web}.. hmm, how it could be? is it able to speak Malay? i need to give it a try..

i'm not eager 4 this weekend n i'll ensure this tiny gadjet will be one of my precious collections..

hello, iPod!

nasi kerabu..

i admit it, i'm really going crazy about it. fyi, i used to eat nasi kerabu for my breakfast, lunch, n supper before. n the dental boys can predict where i'm heading to if we have lunch at DC n the sellers know me well. yunk!

here are an article about nasi kerabu.. copied from wikipedia.

Nasi Kerabu literally means "rice salad". Kelantan has a variety of Nasi Kerabu. Nasi kerabu biasa (normal) or nasi kerabu putih (white) which comes with its own sambal tumis (a special coconut milk based gravy with local herbs and spices, with a hint of chillies) or Nasi kerabu Hitam (black) though the actual color is blue (after the rice is soaked and cooked with a local flower although some people use artificial equivalents) and nasi kerabu kuning (yellow) which use tumeric in the preparation of the rice. Nasi Kerabu Hitam and Kuning does not require a sambal tumis, instead, it has a watery chilly sauce which makes it slightly hotter. The “kerabu” (salad) could be any vegetables or edible leaves though the more or less standard version will have daun kesum, taugeh (bean sprout), thinly cut; long green beans, bunga kantan, cucumber (connoisseurs will insist “seeded”), and daun kadok. Apart from that it is also served with fried breaded fish, keropok keping, salted egg, "solok lada" (chillies stuffed with minced fish and grated coconut), and pickled garlic. Traditionally the sauce used is budu (fish sauce) with lime juice, shredded shallots and bird-eye chillies and not the chilli sauce those numbnuts sellers are using now.
